Jaguar certainly isn’t shy about its latest super-saloon. Here are the clearest pictures yet of the XFR in testing – and it’s ditched the sombre black colour of a traditional test car for this shocking red paint job!

There’s no mistaking which model this is – with only light camouflage it’s easy to make out the bonnet vents, deeper front and rear bumpers and quad exhausts which mark this model out. However, one part of the car that has been hidden is the wheels – suggesting the XFR’s rims will be a completely unique design.

Under the bonnet lurks an all-new 500bhp 5.0-litre V8, taking the fight directly to the BMW M5. Jaguar are yet to confirm when the XFR will be unveiled, but sales are expected to start before the end of 2009.
