Take a look at the best spy shots yet of Vauxhall's hot Insignia VXR estate! Caught testing in Germany, this Sports Tourer is the high performance load lugger version of the forthcoming VXR saloon.

Clues to the punch that lies beneath include the twin exhaust pipes at the rear, larger tyres and alloys which house Brembo brakes and OPC badges on the wings (OPC stands for Opel Performance Center – VXR's sister brand in Germany).

Under the bonnet is a 2.8-litre V6 turbo engine producing around 300bhp, which drives all four wheels. Expect 0-60mph in six seconds and a top speed of 150mph. Adaptive dampers and lowered, stiffened suspension make sure all that power reaches the road.

Just like the saloon version, the finished article will get a wild bodykit and go on sale before the end of the year. Expect a price tag of around £25,000.
