Porsche's facelifting spree has gone all the way to the top!
This is the road-legal 911 GT3 RS, facelifted with the now familiar Porsche family detailling shown across the Coupe, Cabrio, Targa and Turbo.
These pictures show how the refresh will bring the 2006 model bang up-to-date, but not a lot of the changes are visible to the eye.
Most take place out of sight, with bigger combustion chambers, a new crankshaft, an upgraded oil and water pump all present.
We spotted it out testing with the current GT3 RS at the Nürburgring, setting a blistering pace and eating corners for breakfast.
The new model will keep the same the current model's 4 second 0-100mph time and 415bhp engine. It's unlikely but possible that the Doppelkupplung dual-clutchwould be included in the package, so expect a 6-speed manual instead.
Unlike the standard 911 GT3, the RS trackday car has always been lighter, thanks to generous lashings of carbon fibre, ceramic brakes and polycarbonate windows.
Odds are that you'll be able to see this car undisguised at September's Frankfurt Motor Show.
