More aggressive looking Z4 M-Sport has the looks but not the power to match.

Here's a look at what could have been. BMW has announced it will not be producing the performance based Z4 M but these pictures show they will instead be producing an 'all show and no go' version labelled the M-Sport.

Caught testing at the Nurburgring, the new car comes with larger wheels and fiercer looking front and rear bumpers. Look closely and you'll spot the two exhaust pipes (rather than the four on M-badged performance models) but on the whole the car stays true to the previous generation Z4 M.

Under the skin the M-Sport package will slightly tweak the suspension making it tighter and more responsive.

Although reports suggest that the model caught testing here is the range-topping sDrive35i it is expected that the package will be available on the whole Z4 engine range.
