Take a look at the first ever spy shots of the new Micra! Through the heavy disguise, the newcomer reveals the Punto-style headlights and MINI-style grille seen on early sketches of the car.
Based on an all new 'Versatile' platform the new car is bigger than ever before but will 50kg lighter than its predecessor. That means it should be better to drive and more efficient.
Improvements come in the interior too, which will not only be more spacious but will also feature high quality materials and a solidly built dashboard.
Power comes from a newly-developed three-cylinder engine mated to a CVT automatic gearbox for improved efficiency. An optional stop-start system should keep emissions below 110g/km and see a return of about 60mpg.
Prices are set to be competitive when the Micra goes on sale in the UK, most likely in five-door only, in October 2010.

Thank you for the offer, but I did that weeks ago on China Car Times, and their shots were of an undisguised car.
I thought it had definite styling lines from the first generation Toyota Yaris, particularly from the rear.
