There's good news and bad news if you’re planning to buy a Note.

Owners told us that in terms of running costs and practicality the supermini-MPV does a great job.

But if its long-distance comfort you’re after, the Nissan is best avoided, as it’s the single most disappointing car in this area in this year’s survey.

Manufacturer Verdict (Position: 26th)

No change for Nissan, which is 26th for the second year running. Given how many SUVs it builds, a mid-table running costs result is superb. But it needs to improve in all areas to shift up the chart.

59-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

Smashing little car but 1.4 petrol is a bit lifeless. Had a 1.6 Note a couple of years back and performance was much better and economy seemed no worse. If I have another note, it'll be a 1.6.

We feel the one we bought was good value for money and are very satisfied with it so far. This includes local running around and more longer distance journeys. All in all very happy.

No streamlined looks but for practical use, passenger space, size of storage, nippy handling, high driving position, ease of entering and exiting, this car is brilliant.

Met my expectations apart from the drivers seat which does not go up and down in the normal sense apart from working like a lumbar support.

It's OK mainly because it's so full of gadgets.
