Peugeot 207s are already filtering through to car auctions

It’s still a rare sight on the roads, but the first used examples of the Peugeot 207 (image) have already appeared at auction. Twelve of the distinctive new superminis were among 200 second-hand motors on offer at a British Car Auctions sale. They were the first of the fresh models to go under the hammer, and interest was predictably high.

Pick of the bunch was a sporty five-door GT HDi 110 diesel, which sold for £14,200, although all the examples up for grabs found buyers. Overall, the Peugeots averaged 90 per cent of their list price – and trade experts say this bodes well for the car’s long-term residuals.
