Not quite as cheap as our winner, but this Wynn’s aerosol spray still offers great value for money. The lemon fragrance might be too strong for some, but we liked it. On our test panel, Cockpit Matt performed well, removing the chocolate completely and leaving only slight traces of the rest.

Halfords Interior Trim Shine

For those who prefer a slightly shiny finish to their interior trim, Halfords’ aerosol is worth considering. It produces a fine spray with a floral fragrance that’s a little overpowering at first. However, not only does it leave a visible finish, but it cleared all of our self-inflicted stains.

What we looked for

No matter how fine the filters in a car’s ventilation system, dust and dirt are still going to settle in your motor’s cabin. And the best way to get dashboards, centre consoles and door trims back to their best is to use a trim cleaner.
