These non-folding phones were thickly padded, comfortable and more conventional than some of the other products here. But the option to select simulated Dolby 5.1 surround sound is what made them stand out. Switching from the normal stereo mode opened up the sound impressively – perhaps even a bit too much with a live concert recording. But the price is high for one-channel headphones, so these are for enthusiasts only.
