The packet states '70 per cent brighter', yet fails to mention exactly what that figure is compared to. This plastic unit is as basic as torches get – but what do you expect for £2? The grip is uncomfortable, there’s no cord and the power switch felt flimsy. While the beam was wide, it wasn’t very focused or bright, and the torch rattled like a toy after the drop test.
