As with the Clarke, Screwfix has gone for an acid-based fizzer. And, like the Concrete Cleaner, this liquid’s aggressive nature makes it less than pleasant to use. But that doesn’t mean it performs as well. Although our old stain was lightened, the product left a trace of fresh oil. Screwfix says this can be used on tarmac, but do a test on an incon­spicuous area first.
