With a design supposedly inspired by a suspension bridge, the Gerber snapped open and shut solidly. The spring-loaded pliers were easy to use and the two blades sliced through the webbing. Although the drivers did the job, their off-centre position felt odd. Its mix of performance, quality and price made it our Best Budget Buy.
