The cars may be getting old, but you can still have plenty of fun in the Peugeot 206 Cup, although they’re due to be replaced by new Ford Fiesta Super 1600s. Silverstone makes the best of a bad job, as the stages are laid out on little more than a gravel pad by varying the course each time you go out. This means you have to pay close attention to your instructor/navigator – just as you would in a real rally! Water splashes added a realistic feel to the track and made seeing the road ahead tricky. But it was so near yet so far for the Home of British Motorsport, as you didn’t get enough time in the car – especially when compared to similarly priced race schools.
