Officially a mechanic’s torch, this relies on a conventional bulb. The biggest benefit is its excellent straight ahead illumination, while the light can be focused between wide and distance illumination. In wide mode, though, there’s a definite dead spot straight ahead. And in distance mode, peripheral illumination isn’t as good as on many of the LED-based products here.
