Even though it’s only a one-watt light, this is easily the brightest here, thanks to its super-intense LED. To provide sufficient power, a rechargeable nickel metal hydride pack on the rear strap takes the place of conventional batteries. Yet on full blast, we got only around three hours’ light – although selecting one of the other three power settings does improve matters.
