As in last year’s test (Issue 921), the Auto’s practical performance was virtually faultless, pumping lots of signal through to our chosen frequencies. With its simple controls and large backlit display, station selection was simple. And, unlike some rivals on test here, it was compatible with every dock-connector iPod, including the Nano and 5G. It falls at two hurdles, though – the price and lack of presets.
