Padded sides with soft grips cosseted our selection of slim and fat phones, and the unit was easily adjusted to suit the different shapes and sizes of our dozen mobiles. Less protected, however, was our dashboard, because the adhesive fixing left a few unwelcome marks which had to be cleaned off. Worse still, we broke the stand trying to remove it from the vehicle. One for a permanent or long-term fit.
