Folding bicycle test

Price: £249.99

Strida

Date: May 2007

Cycles don’t come much wackier than this! There’s plastic everywhere, tiny wheels, an inverted triangle frame and even a Kevlar drive belt. It’s a bike for pretty short distances, as the single gear makes the Strida hard work. And with the bars so close to the rider, it’s something of a handful. Folding started well, with a button release, but there has to be a better way to keep it together than an elastic strap.
