Folding bicycle test

Price: £179.99

Apollo Transition

Date: May 2007

  • Rating:

Another machine stocked by Halfords, but this time the addition of gears helped us make easy work of the hills on our test route. The bike was stable – even at speed – and gave confidence when weaving through tight gaps. Riders also said it was comfortable, and it required less effort than most. Folding wasn’t so successful, as the catches were stiff and the final result was pretty large. The silver finish looked good, but some of plastics could have been sturdier. A fine budget buy.
