The current corporate design of Kenwood's facias is functional rather than exciting, as this model proves. In addition, it was the only head unit on test to have a USB socket on the front panel - this is handy, but also clumsy, as it leaves the cable which links to your iPod hanging down the centre console. Scrolling using up and down buttons won't be natural for users familiar with Apple's system, and although the digits were large and clear to read, the display was limited to a single line of text.
