Not quite the bargain the price suggested, as the Philip’s had only 144 pages – the least in this test. Compounding that was the fact it had the joint-smallest scale, so detail was lacking. Motorway junctions were shown as simple circles – red for restrictions – with details listed on a separate page. Speed camera marking was good, but with only 53 unindexed town maps and no area plans, it was limited.
