If this vice is clipped to a substantial bench edge, it will take nearly as much abuse as a full-size, bolted-down unit. The 75mm jaw width is much more versatile than many products tested here, and it gave some great results in our torque tests, thanks to the lack of play. Gripped impressively, too, but our sole complaint is that the sturdy Screwfix doesn’t have a protective clamp.
