Instead of a clamp, this vice uses suction pads to hold itself in place. As with many portable sat-navs, you position the unit and use a lever to force the suction cups down. This worked well on smooth surfaces, but any dirt or grit saw the device let go. Although it was pleasant to use, the all-plastic device is only suited to light jobs.
