When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and your battery
needs to be in top condition during the extreme cold weather. Either test your 12V, or simply replace it if it’s nearing the end of its life – they
usually last between two and four years depending on type. The Exide
X-Tra Plus was the best buy in our recent test. Budget around £45 for a standard size.
