Want to see why LEDs are the way ahead? Check out this Maglite monster, which also has a filament bulb. The yellow light of the latter can’t touch the LED. Both beams are adjustable – and they need to be to avoid a dark central patch. It is easily the most powerful torch tested, but you have to pay for that quality... and buy your own batteries.
