Opting for a smaller provider means smaller premiums – as is the case with Autonational. And if you haven’t had a breakdown in the past 12 months, the firm will give you a further 25 per cent off. With 70,000 members, Autonational uses a network of 1,250 recovery agents to provide cover. Its average response time is 42 minutes, and it fixes 70 per cent of call-outs at the roadside.
