Thanks to a three-speed gearbox, it’s easy to forget that this isn’t a mains-powered tool. The fastest gear gave our polishing pad mains-drill urgency, yet pressing hard didn’t dip the speed excessively, which shows that the motor handles loads incredibly well. As you’d expect at this price, hammer mode, a spare battery and a fast charger come in the carry case as standard.
