Typically understated looks from Sony. This system has a smart rolled finish to the lower edge, and only a handful of buttons. All functions can be operated from the large touchscreen, and it has a dual-zone feature, controlling different sounds for the front and rear cabin. It’s iPod-ready, while Dolby and DTS technology gave it a great sound. The XAV-W1 played our WMA/MP3/WAV CD perfectly. But no plug-in Bluetooth adaptor is listed, and it’s the most expensive non-satellite navigation unit here.
