A dirty or worn out filter can drastically affect your car’s performance. However, changing it is a simple job that requires removing the old unit from a plastic housing and installing the new one. On some cars it can be buried away in the engine bay, so be aware that other parts may need removing first – the manual will show you the best path to beat to get there.
