Fresh oil will ensure the engine’s internals are kept in good working order. You’ll probably need to jack up the vehicle and support it so you can gain access to the sump plug. Drain the old oil and make sure you dispose of it properly. Change the filter and then top back up with oil to the maximum on the dipstick.
