Here’s the most basic diagnostic tool there is – an electrical screwdriver with a bulb in the handle. But it’s not the product’s simplicity we have a problem with, as live feeds, continuity and earth faults can all be traced. The issue is the impracticality of the standard screwdriver tip. It cannot be pushed into cable insulation, and it’s slightly too thick to fit into a cartridge fuse’s holder.
