Pliers test

There are two must-haves in a pliers set: a case and a pair of combi pliers. Both are missing here – although what is supplied is excellent. The lock grip, adjustable wrench, needle nose, side cut and water pump pliers seem to be from Clarke’s top-spec professional range. They also had the smoothest action of all the tools on test.
