cost of this service has halved since our last test, although you pay an extra £1.75 for results in the post as well as via E-mail. It clearly warned of the Subaru’s past, plus the finance and a possible mileage discrepancy on the X3, with extra info in a follow-up phone call. But the website was slow – one test took nearly 13 minutes. You get a £30,000 guarantee and seven days’ free insurance.
