Sealey AK668

Lock-grip plier test

Price: £8.48 Included: 125, 175 and 250mm curved jaw

Matt black tools can look smart, but the surface on these is very rough. Fortunately, well shaped levers make them good to handle and operate, despite the texture. Overly curved jaws and sticky adjuster screws mark them down though. The max jaw opening of 41mm is pretty lacklustre, as is the semi-sharp wire cutter’s performance.
