As soon as you see that budget price of £9.99, your hopes aren’t exactly raised over the performance from Halfords’ entry kit. To our surprise, though, while they were quite thin, these products coped well with the heel and stain tests. The full-width heel pad on the driver’s side was a bonus, even if the accelerator fouled on it too much for the piece to fit correctly. Non-slip backing wasn’t grippy enough to prevent some slipping, either.
