On paper this looks brilliant. A meaty 1-Watt LED linked to punchy NiMH cells should give loads of light for a long time. Yet the Uni-lite didn’t deliver. Although dead-ahead illumination was impressive, peripheral lighting was lacklustre. Plus, you get only three hours from that big power pack.
