Our light intensity tests show that Laser’s premium cap light has a similar LED set-up to the cheaper 3589. But as well as a smarter appearance, it gets a powerful magnet, which allows the unit to be used as a spotlight. While LR44 cells keep the weight down, changing them is tricky as the case has to be unscrewed.
