Trolley Jacks

Date: December 2008

To change the brakes or oil on your car, the vehicle has to be raised off the ground. Even if your motor has wheel-changing gear in the boot, it is more advisable to use a proper trolley jack.

You need one with a good range, single-pump quicklift and a case to keep and protect it in. The Clarke’s quicklift works from a main socket, which was an added bonus, and it reached our required test height in only one pump. It was also one of the few to fit in its case with the carry handle still attached. Combined with the sub-£30 price tag, the Clarke was unbeatable value.
