Fire it up, and the Dyson sounds just like a mini jet engine. And it certainly delivers on the promise of this noise, with excellent cleaning ability. There’s also a great selection of attachments. Had it not been for the short battery life and that huge price, the DC16 would have been vying for top honours, rather than taking third place on the podium.
