Screwfix 18289

Torque wrenches tested

Price: £13.69, Average error: 3.10 per cent

Screwfix 18289

Date: January 2009

  • Rating:

Cheapest here, and virtually identical to Clarke’s CHT141, at least until it’s put under pressure. While it produced excellent results at full setting, the tool had a whopping 6.3 per cent average error at the 20 mark. As on the CHT141, the Nm scale is joined by strange kg/m markings that are also oddly graduated.
