Uniquely here, Halfords has chosen cotton for its budget mitt, and it was one of the best performers in our soak test, sucking up 640g of water. With all that weight, though, we would have preferred a tighter cuff. And while it has a similar pile to our top two, it didn’t remove grime as well, pushing it around more rather than lifting it off.
