Challenge Inverter

Inverters tested

Price: £38.99, max continual output: 350 Watts

Challenge Inverter

Date: March 2009

  • Rating:

Although well priced for its power, this unit has more than its share of problems. The AC output fluctuates, which made our test bulb flicker. And we thought the maximum surge load of 500 Watts was a bit too close to the maximum continual output. Lacklustre efficiency and short leads further dented the Challenge’s appeal.
