Clarke CI200

Inverters tested

Price: £31.04, max continual output: 100 Watts

Clarke CI200

Date: March 2009

  • Rating:

More of the same from Clarke. Again, £30-plus seems a little steep for a basic, 100-Watt unit. But superb efficiency and generous lead lengths help justify the price. Unlike the CI600, the output fluctuates slightly, and the maximum voltage we could get was a poor 217. This meant our test bulb drew only 30 Watts, instead of the required 40.
