Nikkai 12V Travel Cooler & Warmer

Cool boxes tested

Price: £29.99, Size: 5.5 litres

Nikkai 12V Travel Cooler & Warmer

Date: March 2009

  • Rating:

Electronics giant Maplin supplies this mini cooler, designed primarily for drinks. It takes only six cans with not a lot of room to spare, although they do get cold quickly – after an hour, the box had dropped to 16 deg C below outside temperature, and 18 deg C below after two hours, hitting -3 deg C. Cup-holders in the lid were a good, snug fit on cans, plus the design included a lead store, power light and switch.
