When it comes to shifting brake dust from wheels, you need help. A soapy sponge will only work if you clean frequently, so most of us need something a bit tougher. We tried 15 wheel specialists to find the best brake dust buster.

Our 15 had to tackle the inside of test rims that hadn’t been touched for years. We limited the amount of cleaner and brushing to make it harder still. We also factored in price and accessories.

Verdict

Comma was narrowly pipped by Wonder Wheels, with third spot going to Meguiar’s Hot Rims.
