Strida 5.2

Distinctive looks are the 5.2’s trump card, especially in this vibrant blue. Gone are the low-quality plastics of previous Stridas, but it still doesn’t feel sturdy. What makes this worse is the strange riding position, while the single gear isn’t suited to hills. The longest design when folded, too.

Awesome Bike

I totally disagree with the review, i have owned a Strida 5 for about 8 months now, and although i was a little wobbly for about the first hour or two ride time i can now honestly say it is one of the most comfortable and responsive bikes i have ever had the pleasure to ride. I would say this is thanks to the recumbent nature of the crank being slightly more forward than a normal bike, it makes for a much more natural (and powerful) riding position.

Yes there are no gears but for normal cruising speed i find it is easier and faster to achieve than using a mountain or road bike.

It's trump card is obviously it's ability to fold down, i never lock my bike up now, i take it everywhere, unless someone is going to mug me, it isn't going to get stolen.

I am now looking to upgrade to the newer 5.2 which is said to have an improved anti slip belt system and improved free wheeling.

Highly recommend this bike. (unless you don't like attention) They are a total head turner, people stop me all the time to ask about them.
