As it uses Multimap data, the RAC site traced the same illegal route and was similarly wide of the mark when it came to our London journey time.

On the cross-country test it stuck to the motorway, adding 15 miles to the shortest route. Calculation could be quicker, although the carbon footprint figure
for the journey was a handy feature.
