Sat-NAV leader TomTom is new to online planning, and this beta (development) version has a way to go before it matches the best.

At the moment it is slow, and there was no indication that our London route entered the Congestion Charge zone.

Usefully, it uses TomTom’s traffic data to provide accurate journey times and efficient routing, while the mapping looks great.
