A large lever for releasing the suction pad meant the Arkon was an instant favourite.

The cradle (available separately as the SM 202) was strong, had adjustable feet for the gadget which couldn’t fall out, and was padded.

But we weren’t so keen on the restricted movement of the two-knob adjustment system – and that ultimately cost the 215 victory here.
