A common problem for some older cars with air-con is the build-up of bacteria in the condenser. This can lead to unpleasant, musty smells when the system is used, and a permanent odour if left untreated.

Comma and CarPlan offer cleaners, while a new one has been released by Puratise (£14.99). They each release a spray, which is drawn through the unit and kills the bacteria.
